TV Guide reports that former “NYPD Blue” star Charlotte Ross has joined the cast of “Arrow” to play the mother of Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). It’s unclear if her character will appear in the present day or in flashbacks on the series, though series executive producer Marc Guggenheim alluded that we’ll be learning the “secret origin” of Smoak in the upcoming third season, which Ross’ character will seemingly fit into.
Starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne and John Barrowman, “Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. ET/PT on The CW with the new season set to premiere on October 8.
