In an effort to help our simian brethren, 20th Century Fox has announced a partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute to provide care and a sanctuary site at the Institute’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in Republic of Congo which will be named “Caesar’s Home” after the lead ape from their new Planet of the Apes film series. A short video about the partnership has debuted online as well featuring a bit of new footage from the upcoming War for the Planet of the Apes. Check it out in the player below!

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter in the rebooted take on the enduring science fiction franchise, Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
The film, directed by the returning Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) also stars Steve Zahn (Dallas Buyers Club, Captain Fantastic), Terry Notary (Kong: Skull Island, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and Karin Konoval (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, 2012). War for the Planet of the Apes opens nationwide on July 14, 2017.
