A DC’s Legend of Tomorrow star is confirmed to be leaving this season. If you would rather not know which Legends of Tomorrow star we’re talking about, turn back now!
Still here? According to Deadline, Victor Garber, who has played Martin Stein, AKA one half of Firestorm, will be exiting the series during the current third season. Garber began playing Martin Stein on The Flash and the other half of Firestorm was Ronnie Raymond, played by Robbie Amell. On Legends of Tomorrow, Stein forms into Firestorm by merging with Franz Drameh’s Jefferson Jackson.
Back in September, it was announced that Garber would return to Broadway to team with Bernadette Peters for the Tony-winning revival of Hello, Dolly!, taking over from David Hyde Pierce and Bette Midler. Their first show is on January 20 and Garber won’t be able to do both the TV series and the musical.
The next episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is titled “Freakshow” and will air Tuesday, October 17. It is officially described as follows:
“The Legends find themselves in 1870 to fix the anachronism which happens to be at P.T. Barnum’s fledgling circus. However, Nate and Ray accidentally free a saber toothed tiger, creating a bigger problem. Meanwhile, P.T. Barnum (guest star Billy Zane) is on the hunt to capture Nate and Ray to make his show even more exciting for the crowd.”
Keith Tancharoen directed the episode, which was written by Keto Shimizu & Grainne Godfree.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow also stars Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Nick Zano, and Dominic Purcell.
Based on the characters from DC, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer and Sarah Schechter.
