Watch the Opening of The Walking Dead’s Mid-Season Premiere
After leaving its viewers with a cliffhanger, The Walking Dead will return to AMC’s Sunday night lineup this weekend. To hype Walking Dead‘s mid-season premiere, the network has made the episode’s first minute available to watch online. And if this short clip is anything to go on, the back half of season 10 is going to be a wild ride.
The last time we saw the survivors, they were in dire straits (as usual). After chasing Alpha (Samantha Morton) into the woods, they wound up trapped in an underground cave infested with ravenous walkers. The new episode picks up exactly where the midseason finale left off, with the group ready to fight their way out. However, it isn’t long before they see Alpha looking out above them, torch in hand. Carol, still in anguish over Henry’s death from last season, can only manage to let out a blood-curdling scream in her son’s killer’s direction. Not surprisingly, Alpha seems to take pride in seeing her new nemesis in pain.

As if the zombies weren’t enough to deal with, the gang will also have to contend with the horde of Whisperers guarding the cave’s exit. Once again, Morton turns in a chilling performance as she quietly commands her followers to do her bidding.
