Earlier this summer, HBO Max managed to alienate many of its customers when several of its DC movies were slated to leave by the beginning of July. HBO Max representatives subsequently explained that Warner Bros.’ DC movies would rotate on the service. Regardless, the new subscribers were less than pleased. However, HBO Max has changed its position and only a handful of DC films will leave.
Via Deadline, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman will now remain on HBO Max through December. However, Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Catwoman, Jonah Hex, and The Losers will still be pulled on July 1.
Additionally, the first four live-action Superman movies will hit HBO Max, alongside Zack Snyder’s Watchmen movie. The animated movie, Superman Unbound, is also coming to HBO Max.

Despite the reprieve, HBO Max still plans to rotate various DC movies in and out of the lineup. HBO Max is also betting heavily on the DC brand, with Green Lantern and Justice League Dark series on the way. Aquaman will also headline his own HBO Max animated series, and the Justice League Snyder Cut will arrive next year.
