Wonder Woman: The Complete Series Comes to Blu-ray Later This Month

Warner Bros. was forced to delay the release of Wonder Woman 1984 twice this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, there’s another way for DC fans to get their fill of the Amazon heroine this summer. In just under two weeks, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release the classic Wonder Woman TV series on Blu-ray for the first time.

The new 10-disc box set collects all 59 episodes of the series, which concluded its three season run on ABC in 1979 and starred Lynda Carter in the title role. She appeared opposite the recently departed Lyle Waggoner, who played Steve Trevor in the first season and Steve Trevor, Jr. in the remaining two seasons after the setting was moved from World War II to the present day.  The collection even includes the original feature-length pilot, The New Original Wonder Woman.

Fans of the series will also be able to sink their teeth into a handful of bonus features. For example, viewers can listen to Carter and executive producer Douglas S. Cramer’s audio commentary for The New Original Wonder Woman. Carter also provided her own commentary for “My Teenage Idol is Missing,” which opened the show’s third season. Additionally, the box set includes a trio of featurettes: Beauty, Brawn and Bulletproof Bracelets: A Wonder Woman Retrospective, Revolutionizing a Classic: From Comic Book to Television, Wonder Woman: The Ultimate Feminist Icon.

Wonder Woman: The Complete Collection will hit stores on July 28. You can check out the box art for the collection below, then share your thoughts in the comment section!
