Earlier this year, Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy – Siege took the franchise in a darker direction by revisiting the history of the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron. Optimus Prime’s forces were on the verge of defeat until he and several of his Autobot followers managed to escape Cybertron with the Allspark. However, Optimus left many of his fellow Autobots behind to fight a futile war with Megatron. Regardless of who wins control of the planet, Cybertron may now perish without the Allspark.
Netflix recently released a new teaser for the next installment in the series: Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy – Earthrise. Although the footage is very brief, it also reveals the release date: December 30.

“With the Allspark gone, Megatron is forced to confront the harsh reality that his Decepticons are trapped on a dying Cybertron. Meanwhile, lost in the darkest reaches of space, Optimus Prime and his team embark on a desperate mission, unexpectedly running into … the spacefaring Mercenaries.”
