One year ago today, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman passed away after a four-year battle with colon cancer. Boseman’s death also caught the entertainment industry off guard because he didn’t share the details of his illness with his friends and colleagues.
However, the impact of Boseman’s life was so significant that Marvel Studios declined to recast Black Panther/T’Challa for any future appearances. The sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is also currently filming now. Regardless, Boseman’s colleagues made time to pay tribute to their lost friend.
On Twitter, Boseman’s Black Panther co-star, Lupita Nyong’o shared this heartfelt message.
I did not know that I could miss both his laughter and his silence in equal measure. I do, I do… One year after his passing, the memory of @chadwickboseman remains this alive in me. pic.twitter.com/4y7H7Bhtpo
