It might not be the Borg Queen’s most attractive feature, but it’s definitely the coolest. At the end of Star Trek: First Contact, the cybernetic villain’s organic flesh melts away, revealing just the mechanical skull and spine beneath. Now, thanks to Factory Entertainment, a 1:1 replica of those metal skeletal segments can become yours. The original prop used resin and animatronics; the replica augments a resin base with chrome finish and plastic and rubber parts. This construction allows for an articulated spine, as well as multiple LEDs and a fade-out sequence to simulate Borg death. Preorder the Borg Queen skull now.
Limited to 250, this prop replica includes a plaque hand-signed by actress Alice Krige. While multiple Borg Queens exist, Krige portrayed one in both First Contact and Star Trek: Voyager. Also included with the plaque will be a certificate of authenticity and booklet detailing the prop creation.

The skull and spine assembly stands around three feet tall when posed upright. The display stand is included. The three AAA batteries it requires, however, aren’t. The limited edition of 250 may sound daunting, but at a price tag of $1499.99, a sellout will not likely come quickly. An installment plan allows for three payments, but no less.
It’s expected to ship by First Contact Day 2022. And since Factory Entertainment expects only hardcore fans to buy, they expect them to know when that arrives, too. (It’s April 5th.) But hey, free shipping in the 48 contiguous United States.
