Disney+ Adds Five Marvel One-Shots To Its Library

Years ago, Marvel One-Shots were the hallmark of the MCU Blu-ray’s bonus materials. Starting with Thor’s release in 2011, Marvel began producing short films that expanded the lore of the franchise and often featured supporting players from the films themselves. Now, fans can catch up on a few highlights thanks to Disney+. The streaming service has just added five one-shots to its streaming library. You can check out the full list below:

The Consultant was actually the first One-Shot that Marvel ever released and featured S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández) discussing the Avengers Initiative. Meanwhile, the Agent Carter short appeared on Iron Man 3’s Blu-ray release and also gave rise to the short-lived ABC series of the same name.  The two-part Team Thor was presented in a mockumentary style, with the God of Thunder rooming with an office worker named Darryl. This story continued with Team Darryl, which saw the title character move in with Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster.

These one-shots join a handful of others one-shots currently available on Disney+, including Item 47 and All Hail the King. Marvel hasn’t released a new short since Team Darryl was packaged with Thor: Ragnarok in 2018. However, studio co-president Louis D’Esposito teased their return last fall in the new book The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“We’re working on them,” said D’Esposito. “It’s just finding the time. And I have a couple earmarked that I want to do.”
