Paramount+’s New Halo Trailer Arrives This Sunday

Disney isn’t the only major studio that uses football to plug its upcoming slate. This Sunday, January 30, the AFC Championship Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs will include a special treat for anyone who sticks around at halftime. During the break, Paramount+ will debut the new trailer for its upcoming Halo series. Check out the announcement below.

Halo fans got their first look at the upcoming TV adaptation last month, and the response appeared to be generally positive, especially when it came to the design of Master Chief. Overall, it doesn’t look like the producers made any significant changes to the Chief’s classic armor. And the same can be said of the Spartan soldiers who will fight alongside him on the battlefield. Viewers also got to see a few recognizable vehicles from the original video games, including Warthogs and a Pelican dropship.

Last month’s preview notably highlighted several new characters who were created specifically for the show. However, it’s a safe bet that Sunday’s trailer will give us new glimpses at other Halo mainstays like Captain Keyes and Cortana. We might even get to hear Master Chief speak, even though it’s definitely going to be weird hearing anyone other than Steve Downes providing his voice. But more importantly, Paramount+ will probably announce the series’ official release date.

The AFC Championship Game airs this Sunday, January 30 at 12:05pm PT / 3:05pm ET. Halo will premiere on Paramount+ later this year.
