Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Youngest Lead Actress Gets a Character Poster

In the grand tradition of every other Disney+ Star Wars series so far, it appears that Obi-Wan Kenobi will gradually roll out new character posters each week, as the new episodes reveal them. The first two episodes just dropped this past Friday, but we’ll see the next installment tonight at midnight. So at this point, it’s no longer an official secret: Leia Organa is on the show. And as played by Vivien Lyra Blair, Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s youngest lead now gets her very own character poster.

Like most of the others so far, it superimposes Tatooine’s twin suns over the character’s left eye. The Jedi master stands silhouetted in front of one of them. Young Leia seems to make clothing choices that foreshadow her tastes in colors later in life. Here, she dons a hood similar to the one she’ll one day wear in a hologram begging Obi-Wan for help again. Surprisingly, her highly marketable droid pal Lola doesn’t show up in this image.

Even at a young age, Leia’s ability to evade pursuers and instantly read other individuals’ motivations show aptitude in the Force. She won’t have anyone to train her for many, many years, so it’ll go underutilized. But as The Rise of Skywalker revealed, brother Luke finally taught her Jedi ways as an adult, after exposing their familial ties in Return of the Jedi.
