Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 3 – What Did You Think?!

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3!

Welcome home, James Earl Jones! The third episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi has premiered on Disney+, and we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! This post is a place for all of you to leave your own reviews, thoughts, or anything else you want to say about Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3.

On Mustafar, Darth Vader pulls himself together, complete with James Earl Jones providing his iconic voice. Over an Imperial transmission, Reva blames Obi-Wan for the Grand Inquisitor’s injuries, but it’s unclear if he survived. Vader simply doesn’t care about that. He only wants Kenobi. And he tells Reva that she will be the next Grand Inquisitor if she succeeds in making that happen.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan and Leia pose as a father and daughter on Mapuzzo. After a short period of time, they get picked up by Freck, an alien with a friendly face. Unfortunately, Freck is also an Imperial loyalist who takes them straight to a check point. Their cover is blown, but Obi-Wan and Leia are saved by the arrival of Tala, an Imperial officer who works with an underground network to help people escape from the Empire.

Soon after, the Inquisitors arrive on the planet with Darth Vader close behind. Obi-Wan sends Tala and Leia ahead to meet with their pilot. And to Obi-Wan’s horror, Vader randomly kills and maims the townspeople just to draw him out. Obi-Wan soon realizes that he is in no shape to fight Vader, but he finds himself in a battle regardless of his wishes. And this time, it’s a very one-sided encounter in Vader’s favor. Perhaps sensing that something is wrong, Leia encourages Tala to go back for Obi-Wan.

Rather than settle for a fast victory, Vader disarms Obi-Wan and prepares to burn him alive, just as Obi-Wan allowed Anakin Skywalker to burn a decade earlier. Miraculously, Tala is able to create a wall of fire to separate Vade and Obi-Wan, but the former Jedi Master is badly injured. Meanwhile, Leia makes it to the end of the hidden tunnel, only to discover that Reva has beaten her there…and killed the pilot who would have helped Leia escape.
