Earlier this year, Netflix announced that the upcoming third season of Locke & Key will mark the conclusion of the show. However, the Locke family isn’t going to leave the stage until they’ve reclaimed Keyhouse and all of the magical keys that rightfully belong to them.
As part of Geeked Week, Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for Locke & Key season 3. So far, the immediate threat to the family appears to be the demonic Captain Frederick Gideon (Kevin Durand), who may be resurrecting his crew.

Locke & Key is based upon the IDW comic book series created by Joe Hill and artist Gabriel Rodriguez. The show stars Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke, Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke, Petrice Jones as Scot Cavendish, Aaron Ashmore as Duncan Locke, and Hallea Jones as Eden Hawkins. There will almost certainly be a few more familiar faces from seasons 1 and 2 before the show wraps up its story.
Netflix will premiere all eight episodes of Locke & Key season 3 on Wednesday, August 10.
