Jon Kent and Damian Wayne Team Up in Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons Trailer

Jon and Damian  Team Up in Battle of the Super Sons Trailer

The planet is in danger from an alien menace, and the fate of humanity lies in the hands of two very unlikely heroes. Warner Bros. has just released a brand new trailer for Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, an upcoming animated film that sees the children of the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel working together against a larger-than-life adversary.

Battle of the Super Sons marks the first DC animated original movie produced using CGI animation. It’s also the first film to feature Jon Kent, the new Superman in DC’s comic book continuity. Clearly, Jon is thrilled to be following in his father’s footsteps as the DC universe’s new superhero. But first, he’ll have to get past Damian Wayne, who doesn’t exactly play well with others.

Following his appearance in last year’s The Suicide Squad, Battle of the Super Sons will also feature Starro the Conqueror as its primary villain. Only this time, the giant starfish has a much larger sphere of influence. People all over the world are succumbing to the alien’s mind control, including Batman, Superman, and their remaining allies in the Justice League. Despite their lack of experience, Jon and Damian will be forced to put aside their differences and team up to halt Starro’s reign of global terror.

Here’s the official synopsis from Warner Bros. Animation:

“Ahhhh, to be young … and charged with saving the world from impending doom! That’s the burden that 11-year-old Jonathan Kent and reluctant young sidekick Damian Wayne face in this all-new DC Animated Movie,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “On his birthday, Jonathan Kent learns his dad is Superman and that he has latent superpowers of his own! He also meets the legendary Dark Knight and current Boy Wonder, Damian. But when the two boys are forced to team up to protect their loved ones from a hostile alien force, will they become the Super Sons they’re destined to be?”

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment hasn’t announced a release date for Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons.
