Marvel Drops a Trailer For J. J. Abrams & Henry Abrams’ Spider-Man #1

Next month, J.J. Abrams and his son, Henry Abrams, are making their Marvel debut with Spider-Man #1 This five-issue miniseries will team up the Abrams with Miles Morales co-creator, Sara Pichelli, for a story that introduces Spidey’s latest big bad: Cadaverous. And according to the younger Abrams, Spidey and Mary Jane are going to have their hands full with this villain.

“Spider-Man in general has been one of the most interesting super hero characters to me – how when he gets stronger, his problems get bigger,” said Henry Abrams in Marvel’s new Spider-Man #1 trailer. “A large focus on our series was [Spider-Man] as a person and not just him as a mask. So how does he deal with these real issues? It’s been a pleasure exploring that.”

Executive editor Nick Lowe also warned that “Cadaverous is one of the most terrifying Spider-Man villains of all time – and that’s saying something. Spidey has faced the Green Goblin, Carnage, Venom, and Cadaverous might be even scarier and a little bit grosser than any of them.”
