Exclusive Preview: Savage Avengers #5

Conan the Barbarian now lives in the present, and he’s stumbled upon a plot that may destroy the world. Conan’s immortal adversary, Kulan Gath, lured Wolverine, the Punisher, and Elektra to the Savage Land. He planned to sacrifice them to awaken the dark god Jhoatun Lau. However, Gath didn’t count on Conan’s presence, or the arrival of Doctor Voodoo and Venom.

In the ensuing battle, Conan was fatally wounded and spared only when he inadvertently bonded with another symbiote from Venom’s race. Unfortunately for the heroes, they are already too late. Jhoatun Lau lives again, and Shanghai may be only the first city to fall to his wrath.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Savage Avengers #5, Gerry Duggan and artist Mike Deodato send the makeshift team into battle against Jhoatun Lau. The ancient deity may already be beyond their means to stop. But if they can get past him, Kulan Gath awaits their next move.
