In 2008, Mark Millar and Steve McNiven introduced comic fans to the world of Old Man Logan. It was a timeline where the villains rose up and vanquished the heroes. But that doesn’t mean a new generation can’t pick up the slack. Via Marvel.com, Avengers of the Wastelands will introduce the next generation of the team in 2020.
Ed Brisson and artist Jonas Scharf are the creative team behind Avengers of the Wastelands. The five-issue miniseries will reintroduce Dani Cage, the daughter of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, as the new Thor. She’ll be joined by Dwight, the Ant-Man of the future; as well as a previously unknown Hulk. However, there is a possibility that the Hulk is the adoptive son of Old Man Logan. Almost all of the other Hulks were evil in Old Man Logan.

Here’s the official description from Marvel: “In a world where most Super Heroes fell at the hands of the Red Skull over 50 years ago, Dani Cage wields the mighty Mjolnir for the cause of peace. But when the brutal regime of Doctor Doom forces Dwight (AKA the owner of the surviving Ant-Man technology) to Dani and the Hulk in a last ditch effort to survive, the Avengers have the chance to assemble once more!”
Avengers of the Wastelands #1 will hit comic book stores on January 29, 2020.
