Patton Oswalt Will Return for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Final Season

A familiar face will make his return in the final season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. According to CBR, Patton Oswalt will return on the show to help Agent Coulson and the rest of the team to save the future. At the moment, the details about the character Oswalt will play are still under wrap. Oswalt portrayed agent Eric Koenig in the first season of the show until his death by the hands of Grant Ward. After that, Oswalt returned in the season finale as Eric’s apparent twin brother Billy Koenig. In the following seasons, Oswalt appeared also as Eric and Billy’s other identical siblings Sam and Thurston Koenig.

Even though some fans are joking that Oswalt could portray MODOK — perhaps due to a certain facial resemblance between the two — it’s more likely that he will play another member of the Koenig family. The actor himself took to Twitter to tease that the fans will “really love” the character he plays in the last season of the show.
