Last year, DC’s partnership with Spotify began with a scripted Batman podcast called Batman Unburied. While that project won’t arrive until later this year, the two companies are expanding their lineup in a big way. Via Deadline, DC’s Chief Creative Officer, Jim Lee, announced several new scripted podcasts during Spotify’s Stream On event. Superman, Wonder Woman, and Joker will get their own podcasts. However, they won’t be alone.
Lois Lane, Catwoman, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Katana, and Riddler are also getting podcasts as well. And even more may be on the way.
“There’s so many character we can explore,” said Lee. “I think the fanbase will respond to this in an exciting way.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Dark Knight trilogy co-writer David Goyer created Batman Unburied. Story details for that project are scarce. Regardless, it will supposedly “explore the darker aspects of Bruce Wayne’s psychology.”
Goyer came up with the story for Batman Unburied, but the writing team has not been named. That podcast will also be a co-production between Goyer’s Phantom Four, Warner Bros.’ Blue Ribbon Content, and Spotify.
