Exclusive Preview: Daredevil #30

Matt Murdock is in jail, so there’s a new Daredevil in Hell’s Kitchen! However, Matt’s life of danger has caught up to him. Even though Matt was allowed to retain his secret identity behind bars, he’s already been a target. Someone put a hit out on Matt, and also arranged for him to be poisoned. At the end of the last issue, Matt was shanked in an ambush. Regardless, Matt’s enhanced senses allowed him to hear that the Warden was in on the hit.

Meanwhile, Elektra has taken it upon herself to carry Matt’s legacy in Hell’s Kitchen. During The King In Black, Elektra also took a young girl named Alice under her wing. As one of Elektra’s first lessons for Alice, she started extorting the criminals in Hell’s Kitchen to keep them from exploiting the helpless.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Daredevil #30, Chip Zdarsky and artists Marco Checchetto & Mike Hawthorne catch up with Mayor Wilson Fisk as he tries to win back the affections of Typhoid Mary. Meanwhile, Alice accompanies Elektra as she goes to confront Butch, the new Kingpin of Hell’s Kitchen. Elektra doesn’t know that Butch is Fisk’s illegitimate son. She also doesn’t care if everyone knows that she’s the new Daredevil.
