Exclusive Preview: Moon Knight #3

After the events of The Age of Khonshu, Moon Knight’s deity, Khonshu, is in god prison for rewriting reality in his own image. However, Moon Knight hasn’t given up on his mission. Instead, Marc Spector’s alter ego is trying to replace Khonshu’s role as “the defender of those who travel at night.”

Moon Knight’s newfound mercy extends to Reese, a young woman who was recently turned into a vampire. Regardless, someone with Moon Knight’s weapons has already attacked one of Reese’s fellow vampires. And now she’s questioning his promises of protection.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Moon Knight #3, writer Jed MacKay and artist Alessandro Cappuccio catch up with Marc in his Mr. Knight persona as he undergoes therapy. Marc also reveals that his greatest fear is that his new adversary may be a new persona within his own mind.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“An apostate priest, Moon Knight has taken on Khonshu’s duty as his own. To the people he protects, this is a blessing. To Hunter’s Moon, this is sacrilege. It is no small thing, to betray a god and take on his role. And when the Fist of Khonshu offers shelter to vampires, the ancient enemies of the Moon God? The Moon Knight requires correction, and Hunter’s Moon will bring him back to the right path – whatever it might take.
