Exclusive Preview – Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Night of the Cyclops

Hellboy’s adventures in the present may be over, but there are still plenty of untold stories in his past as an agent of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy, has been expanding upon these tales in the various Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. miniseries. However, later this month, Mignola will be joined by Olivier Vatine on a new one-shot, Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Night of the Cyclops. And this time, Vatine is not only providing the art and the colors, he’s also co-writing the issue with Mignola.

Superhero Hype is proud to present an exclusive first look at the issue, which finds Hellboy wrapping up an assignment in Greece. Beating up a minotaur is pretty standard stuff when you’re the world’s greatest paranormal investigator. Regardless, Hellboy senses that his time in Greece isn’t done. But he couldn’t have guessed that following a goat would take into some unexpected places.

Here’s the official description courtesy of Dark Horse Comics:

“Just as he finishes up one job in Greece, Hellboy is detoured into another adventure by . . . a goat? Join Hellboy in a strange hidden land of treachery and togas as he takes on the wrath of a jealous god.

Featuring the storytelling genius of Mike Mignola and Olivier Vatine, with art by Vatine and letters by Clem Robins, the Mignolaverse meets classical mythology in this new one-shot!”

Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: Night of the Cyclops will hit comic book stores on Wednesday, May 25.
