Exclusive First Look At Black Cat and Iron Man In Iron Cat #1

Prepare for the arrival of Iron Cat. Now, you may be thinking that it’s just some pet name for a relationship between Iron Man and Black Cat. Understandable, but not so. Tony Stark is currently romantically involved with Patsy Walker/Hellcat. And besides, Stark has a grudge against Felicia Hardy/Black Cat ever since she broke into his headquarters and used his own A.I. operating system to create the Iron Cat armor. Unfortunately for Felicia, she can’t put that cat back in the bag.

Next month, someone with a grudge against both Iron Man and Black Cat will headline the Iron Cat miniseries. And that means Felicia’s in  a world of trouble as the mystery woman targets everything she holds dear.

In Superhero Hype’s first look at Iron Cat #1, writer Jed Mackay and artist Pere Perez share an unlettered glimpse at what’s to come. Note that while the pages are in sequential order, several pages have been removed by Marvel to protect against spoilers. That’s also why the identity of Iron Cat is covered up on the last preview page.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“The Iron Cat armor made its first appearance in BLACK CAT #11. but both Black Cat and Iron Man thought that was the last they would see of it. If Felicia is surprised to see the armor again, you can imagine how furious Tony is. There’s someone new in the Iron Cat armor and they have a plan that will put them in the crosshairs of all the heroes of the Marvel Universe. Both Iron Man and Black Cat’s secrets and mistakes are going to come back to haunt them and it’s going to get ROUGH! Don’t miss this fantastic new miniseries!”

Iron Cat #1 will hit comic book stores on Wednesday, June 29.
