Skybound’s Lastman translation reaches its conclusion

“I’m thrilled for Lastman readers and fans to finally be able to collect this beloved series on their shelves in English in its entirety for the first time,” editor Amanda LaFranco said. “From the very beginning, Lastman has been a paragon for rich storytelling, allowing the world to breathe alongside its characters, and I’m incredibly excited we’ve been able to work with Casterman to complete the series for English audiences. It’s a bittersweet feeling reaching the end, but I know readers will still find plenty of twists and turns in the journey towards Adrian and Richard’s epic conclusion!”

An official synopsis for Lastman reads as follows: “Adrian Velba has trained all year to fight in the Valley of the Kings’ legendary tournament. However, despite his ambition, he has no chance of winning. Not only is his partner unable to compete, but at 12-years-old, Adrian is the longest of longshots. That is, until a mysterious, powerful stranger enters town and offers to join forces with Adrian. But who is Richard Aldana? And why, in a world of magic, does he rely solely on his fists? Eschewing magic and using only his martial arts prowess, Aldana’s motives are as mysterious as his origins.”

Lastman Book Six goes on sale in November 2024 from Image Comics.
