Titans #10 Preview Reveals the Team’s Latest Foe

Infighting among demons is not unusual in the DC Universe. It’s also par for the course when you’re the daughter of Trigon and a member of the Titans. However, a preview of Titans #10 by Tom Taylor and Lucas Meyer reveals a new abyssal threat to Raven and her teammates.

The new threat is a young demon called Trilogy, who has a grudge against Raven. The preview shows Trilogy stealing a magical staff from Trigon’s armory, so he may fight Raven and the Titans. However, Trigon is aware of the theft, and is counting on Trilogy to indirectly aid his own plans for his daughter.

Titans’ New Foe Trilogy Explained

Previous issues of the current Titans series reintroduced the character of Trilogy. First appearing during the 2023 Lazarus Planet event, Trilogy was a half-demon child of Trigon, much like Raven. However, unlike his half-sister, Trilogy was a willing pawn of Trigon, who embraced his demonic heritage and became a full demon.

Trilogy has appeared throughout the new Titans series, complaining of how Trigon favors Raven over him. His petty whining has done little to endear himself to his father. Nor has it earned Trilogy a chance to prove his worth. Even ignoring Raven’s experience fighting demons, Trilogy would have little chance against her. This is due to Raven recently being taken over by her dark side.

The new Dark Raven is less than merciful, but cunning enough to play a long game. It is her intention to corrupt the Titans from within, turning them into her willing generals before conquering the Earth. However, Trigon is less than patient, and seems to be pushing Trilogy to force Dark Raven’s hand so she reveals herself earlier than she planned.

Titans #10 arrives on-line and in comics shops everywhere on April 16, 2024.
