It’s been a longer than usual wait for a cinematic Harley Quinn sequel, but this week Birds of Prey finally hits theaters. And with it, an announcement of a brand new Hot Toys Birds of Prey Harley Quinn action figure. The company did excellent work with Margot Robbie‘s likeness for Suicide Squad, and the tradition continues here. No laurels-resting for Hot Toys, however: the likeness is all-new, and based on the trailer footage. And as they so often do with female portraits, they’ve nailed an almost photo-real resemblance.
Featuring several layers of clothing and jewelry (including Bruce the hyena’s dog tag), Harley also has all her screen-accurate tattoos. And her gold boots switch out for roller skates. Naturally she won’t go anywhere without a trusty mallet, and the figure stand this time includes a backdrop in the movie’s punk-rock, graffiti visual style. We’ve no idea yet if other Birds of Prey figures will follow, but they’re off to a fantabulous start with this one.

Now, McFarlane Toys — the ball is in your court. Are the only Birds of Prey action figures going to be imports? Todd McFarlane sculpting Margot Robbie seems like a combo most collectors would like to see moving forward.
