Disney Shares New Concept Art For Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Obviously, this might not be the best time to visit a theme park. But once everything returns to normal, Disney is hoping to welcome guests back with a handful of new attractions, including a brand new immersive hotel experience for Star Wars fans. Even during the pandemic, Disney’s Imagineers have been hard at work on making Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser a reality. Now, fans can get a new look at the bedrooms they’ll stay in if they book a reservation.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser invites guests aboard the Halcyon, a starship where they can live out their own Star Wars adventure for two days and two nights. Whether they want to train in lightsaber combat or become an officer on the ship’s bridge, it seems that anything is possible. In a new post found on the official Disney Parks Blog, the studio shared new concept art for the Halcyon’s cabins, which look like they offer the perfect mix of space and comfort.

It’s clear from these images that the rooms were designed with entire families in mind. The cabins include a full-size bed for parents along with two bunks for any children in tow. One photo even features a plush Porg. However, we’re not sure if these are complimentary or if kids will have to bring their own. Other amenities include an interactive screen along with a window that lets occupants fall asleep while watching the stars outside.

Disney previously announced that fans could start making reservations for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser this year ahead of its launch in 2021. Of course, this was before COVID-19 came along. It currently remains to be seen whether the hotel will make this date or delay its opening in accordance with coronavirus safety measures.
