Power-Con Masters of the Universe Exclusives Include Grayskull Robot

One of the most-requested obscure Masters of the Universe characters will finally see toy form as an exclusive for Power-Con 2021. The Grayskull Robot, originally seen as a cardboard insert in the very first Castle Grayskull playset. Perhaps initially intended to be a spacesuit for other characters, it took on a life of its own over the years, and now gets its own figure in the Origins style. An exclusive to the He-Man and She-Ra convention Power-Con, the robot comes in a three-pack of add-ons for the Origins Castle Grayskull playset. Also included in the pack is a dungeon grate and translucent Spirit of Grayskull. The latter utilizes the design seen in the vintage minicomic, “King of Castle Grayskull.”

The Secrets of Grayskull pack runs an entirely reasonable $30, and seems likely to become the most popular, as it could accessorize any version of the Castle. But that’s not all. The highest-priced item, a $150 Origins four-pack of the Evil Horde, depicts Hordak and his soldiers in Filmation cartoon colors.

Finally, He-Man’s robotic duplicate Faker gets a new ride. Faker comes in a unique deco based on a vintage variant from India’s Leo Toys. Moreover, his ride, a robot Battle Cat named Dupli-Cat, includes some new cybernetic parts and deco. So $60 for the pair seems reasonable.

Preorders start next Saturday, presumably on the Power-Con’s official site. After a virtual year, the convention returns in-person to the Anaheim Hilton, Sept 11 and 12.

What do you think of the exclusives? Happy to see them, or furious they’ll be harder to get for non-attendees? Let us know in comments.
