A Dave Filoni Action Figure Leads Hasbro PulseCon Star Wars Exclusives

Widely credited for making the Star Wars prequel era and The Mandalorian awesome, Dave Filoni now gets the ultimate franchise honor. Yes, a Dave Filoni action figure of his very own. And it’s in-canon too, based on the producer’s cameo as X-Wing pilot Trapper Wolf in season 1 of The Mandalorian. In the 6-inch Black Series, Wolf will come in a deluxe box with helmet and rifle. But not, alas, with the signature wide-brim hat that Filoni wears at nearly all his public appearances.

Trapper Wolf is one of three Star Wars exclusives that will go online at this fall’s Hasbro PulseCon. Another Black Series exclusive continues this year’s running theme of Lucasfilm’s 50th anniversary, paying tribute to older packaging and figure styles. In this case, it’s a three-pack of Obi-Wan Kenobi schooling Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba at the Mos Eisley cantina. The set includes bar diorama pieces designed to connect with possible future cantina sets. And in a nod to varying design choices, “Walrus Man” Ponda Baba includes both humanoid and flipper hands.

The third exclusive comes in the smaller 3.75 inch scale. And it’s Palpatine in the Death Star II throne room. This figure includes a soft cloak, and the giant window behind the throne. Display one of two different scenes behind him: either a quiet starfield, or a space battle.

Take a look at more images in the gallery below. The Cantina Showdown set costs $104.99; prices on the other two TBD, along with precise availability dates and quantities.
