McFarlane Toys Does Martian Manhunter and Aquaman in New DC Wave

It’s a common request among toy collectors every time a new company gets the rights to DC Comics figures. Can we please get characters besides Batman? Now, granted, McFarlane Toys did better than many previous companies that simply repainted the same Batman figure over and over. Their infinite Batman variants actually hail from alternate realities and universes, for the most part. But fans still want other characters every once in a while. So this weekend, they get good news: Martian Manhunter and Aquaman arrive for preorder soon!

McFarlane previously made a movie Aquaman from Justice League, and the Batman/Aquaman hybrid figure The Drowned. But this will be the first comics-based Martian Manhunter and Aquaman. Customizers wanting a James Wan movie Aquaman look can probably do a headwswap, too. The outfit may originate from the Endless Winter comics, but it matches that film appearance closely.

If a wave contains no Batman, there’s usually a Superman. In this case, it’s Solar Suit Superman as seen on the cover of Lois and Clark comics. And here to fight him, a Dylan McDermott-looking General Zod. Check out all four figures in the gallery below.

Preorders should begin early in the week at all your favorite online retailers. In the meantime, are you happy to see these characters at last? Let us know in comments.
