Hot Toys Offers Very Sam Raimi-ish Multiverse of Madness Dead Strange

For many years now, director Sam Raimi has delivered stories of the Evil Dead on the big and small screens. This year, he switched things up by offering up a member of the good dead. For any longtime Raimi fans, this provided the two biggest Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cheer points. The first came the moment Doctor Strange realized he could get back to the 616 universe by possessing his own variant’s corpse. The second, when said revived corpse made himself a flying cloak out of demons in order to get his dried-out husk to the final battle. Hot Toys has now immortalized both moments with their Dead Strange figure.

From the official description: “Meticulously crafted based on the appearance of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dead Strange in the movie, the figure features a newly developed head sculpt and hair sculpture with disgustingly beautiful details; a decaying tunic outfit and sculpted boots, a distressed cape with sculpted heads of demons; the greatly detailed Souls of Damned accessories to drag on Strange, and a dynamic figure base.”

Dead Strange can be posed either just in corpse form, with the additional arms, or with the arms, demons, and cape. That’s a lot of creepy options. And even without all the flair, the figure itself features gruesome exposed innards and bone. Cost on this will run higher than average at $385, but surely it’s worth it to give your visitors nightmares.
