Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Star-Lord Uniforms up for Hot Toys

In most real life situations, Chris Pratt, and his alter-ego (no pun intended) Star-Lord — probably thinks of himself as “the cute one.” In actuality, when he’s in the Guardians of the Galaxy alongside a talking raccoon and a dog in a spacesuit, no human wins that contest. So it figures that Hot Toys‘ first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 figures would be Rocket and Cosmo. Now that those have revealed themselves, however, it is Star-Lord’s turn. And Peter Quill’s newest Hot Toys figure, dons his newest uniform, for the most up-to-date take yet. Sort of. No spoilers, but we’re not entirely certain what’s happening to that uniform next.

Eyes on Surprise

Like many recent Hot Toys humans, Star-Lord comes with an individual rolling eye feature. In practice, this allows for a variety of expressions. For collectors who like to animate their figures, it lets Quill literally roll his eyes at Drax’s latest lack of metaphor comprehension. Shelf displayers can also decide who, exactly, Star-Lord has eyes for these days — Gamora, or Nebula? Hot Toys may be tipping their hand by revealing the next Nebula figure in some of the Star-Lord product shots.

Per the official description, Hot Toys Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Star-Lord includes, “a newly developed head sculpt that captures his iconic expression, and comes with separate rolling eyeballs for adjustable eye sight. The highly-poseable figure shows attention to details on the navy blue team outfit with the Guardians emblem on the chest, also on weapons, and accessories such as a pair of blasters and shooting effects, a portable music player for an awesome mix, and a figure display base.”

Preorder him now for the low-by-Hot-Toys-standards price of $265. Payment plans are available, and he should be in the mail by Christmas 2024.
