Okay, we’re making a bit of an assumption about the throne just to get a good Will Ferrell reference in. But Loki is a notorious deceiver, even though he seems more or less reformed of late in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So a throne of lies would make total sense, and the Hot Toys version of it does present an effective illusion of melted metal. (The actual metal is a little higher up in the toy, as his large horned helm attaches with magnets.)
Loki, Not Low-Key
God Loki represents Loki as he appeared at the very end of season 2 of his own streaming series, having effectively become the new Yggdrasil, the tree connecting all the realms in Norse mythology. He holds the timelines in his hands, managing them in a way mere equipment could not. Where this leaves the other gods seen in Moon Knight and Thor: Love and Thunder, we don’t know. And what about the Celestials, who created the universe? Divine territory is much-disputed in the MCU; we have to wonder if Secret Wars will resolve any of it.
God Loki comes in regular and artisan editions; the latter, featuring rooted wool hair, has already sold out to waitlist status. The other’s a steal by Hot Toys standards at $290, given that includes the throne, strands, and base with backdrop.
“Exquisitely crafted based on the screen appearance of Tom Hiddleston as God Loki in the finale, the figure features a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs. The fabric costume has been finely tailored to match Loki’s on-screen appearance, ensuring an accurate and visually stunning portrayal. His iconic horned helmet is magnetically attachable, completing the authentic look. Additionally, a throne, timeline effects, hand effects, themed backdrop, and a display base to enhance the display options and allow for creative posing.”
