Zack Snyder will make his return behind the camera of a zombie pic for the first time since 2004’s Dawn of the Dead, which was also his first movie as a director. Since then he has mostly stayed close to the comic-book genre with 300WatchmenMan of Steel, and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. He also made the action epic Sucker Punch.

Snyder’s cast of Army of the Dead stars Dave Bautista and features Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Garret Dillahunt, Raül Castillo, as well as Chris D’Elia, and Ana de la Reguera. The plot, which was conceived by Snyder and written by Joby Harold and Shay Hatten, follows a man who recruits a group of mercenaries to pull off the ultimate heist amidst a zombie apocalypse.

Netflix’s Army of the Dead doesn’t have a premiere date just yet, but look for it to hit the streaming service by 2020 at the earliest. What do you expect from Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
