Natasha Romanoff may have bit the bullet on Vormir, but there’s still life in her yet. In a mission clearly designed to give her closure shortly before her final battle, she has to return to Budapest in Black Widow. Yes, the hometown for all that “red in her ledger.” And speaking of red, Red Guardian is here in full costume, as played by David Harbour. What with this and Hellboy, it’s clearly his color.
Some of the fight scene between Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow and Florence Pugh as another Black Widow that was shown at Comic-Con is here. What’s not shown is the Taskmaster in the comics-familiar costume, which we did see at SDCC. Here, there is a masked character that could be an earlier version, but it’s not clear. Though the character is an archer and could be mimicking Hawkeye’s power set.

If Hawkeye plays much of a part, this presumably takes place before his house arrest at the end of Civil War. Unless they show him covertly slipping out and back in. But given the requisite amount of explosions on display, he’d have a tough job keeping that quiet. Maybe it’s him in the mask trying to be undercover. We’ll find out for certain May 1st, 2020.
Black Widow also stars Rachel Weisz as the mysterious Melina, and O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, and Olivier Richters in as-yet-unnamed roles. The actor playing the Taskmaster is currently unknown, with many suspecting it could be Melina under the mask.
