Marvel Releases Black Widow & Eternals Synopses

Walt Disney Studios has provided official synopses for both Black Widow and The Eternals. They provide a little more details in regards to what to expect from each adventure before they hit theaters later this year. First up is Black Widow. These details follow the debut of the latest trailer, which formally introduces the deadly Taskmaster for the first time.

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.”

Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow. Florence Pugh co-stars as Yelena, while David Harbour portrays Alexei/Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz plays Melina.

Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Black Widow — the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — hits U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020.

Finally, here’s the new synopsis for The Eternals.

Marvel Studios’ The Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.”

Richard Madden headlines the film as the all-powerful Ikaris, with Gemma Chan as Sersi, and Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo. Lauren Ridloff also stars as Makkari, with Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, and Salma Hayak as Ajak. Additionally, Don Lee will appear as Gilgamesh, with Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Angelina Jolie as Thena. Kit Harrington will also star as Dane Whitman AKA the Black Knight.

Directed by Chloe Zhao, who helmed the critically acclaimed Sundance film The Rider, and produced by Kevin Feige, The Eternals opens in U.S. theaters on November 6, 2020.”
