Oscar Isaac Will Star In Ex Machina Adaptation, The Great Machine

Back in 2014, Oscar Isaac starred in Ex Machina, one of the best sci-fi films of the last decade. However, it’s not going to be the last Ex Machina film of his career. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Isaac has been signed to headline and produce The Great Machine; an adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Tony Harris’ Ex Machina comic.

The Ex Machina comic only shares a title with the movie. Vaughan and Harris’ story focused on Mitchell Hundred, the world’s first and only superhero. As the Great Machine, Hundred managed to save one of the Twin Towers on 9/11. The comic followed Hundred’s term in office as the mayor of New York and the origins of his powers. But it was always more of a political story than a superhero tale.

Isaac will play Mitchell Hundred, and he is also the first cast member attached to the film.
