Warner Bros. Reveals Official Cast For The Batman

Now that production is officially underway, Warner Bros. is ready to talk more about The BatmanThe studio has revealed the full cast list for Matt Reeves’ upcoming reboot; which stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and Batman. Zoe Kravitz is set to play Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman), while Jeffrey Wright will portray James Gordon.

Additionally, Paul Dano will portray Edward Nashton, a.k.a. The Riddler. John Turturro will step into the role of dangerous criminal mastermind Carmine Falcone. As previously reported, Andy Serkis will step into the role of Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Finally, Colin Ferrell will play Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin.

Warner Bros. also confirmed two new characters in the film. Peter Sarsgaard will portray Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, while Jayme Lawson will portray Bella Real, a woman running for mayor. Very little is known about how they will play into the film’s story.

However, it looks to closely follow the comic series. There’s been some praise for the script, written by Mattson Tomlin. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Farrell noted it was a “beautiful, dark, moving script.”

The Batman will open in theaters on June 25, 2021.
