George Miller’s scrapped project Justice League: Mortal is igniting the fans’ curiosity these days. Given that almost all mainstream news is about coronavirus and its dreadful effects, a lot of DC fans are passing the time enjoying more details about the unmade 2007 movie. To that end, director Ryan Unicomb is currently working on a documentary on JL:M, and he released some photos on Instagram featuring the Justice League: Mortal costumes.
“I know there’s MASSIVE interest in the story behind Justice League: Mortal but there is pushback from the studio and most of the creatives involved,” Unicomb wrote. “It’s understandably a sore point for many involved. We’re collating everything we have to be able to pitch it properly. It may require a kickstarter or something at some stage, or it may not. I’m 5 years into the journey of getting this made and I VERY much appreciate your patience. I know how important this lost chapter is to us all; as movie goers, as comic readers, as pop culture fans.”
Unicomb concluded assuring the fans that the upcoming documentary will feature every costume from the original movie, and also the Batmobile and the Fortress of Solitude. You can check the Justice League: Mortal images in the gallery below.

The Justice League: Mortal images feature a closer (albeit blurry) look at the cast with Armie Hammer as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Adam Brody as The Flash, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, as well as Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and the rapper Common as Green Lantern among the others. Most interestingly, Unicomb shared a hi-resolution photo of Megan Gale wearing Wonder Woman‘s costume.
This is hardly the first time Unicomb took to social media channels to share new and interesting details about JLM. Recently, he also revealed one of the many cowls Batman was supposed to wear in the movie. Ironically, Unicomb’s documentary doesn’t seem likely to see the light soon either.
