Chris Hemsworth Praises the Script For Thor: Love and Thunder

Because of the novel coronavirus outbreak, it’s going to be nearly two years before  Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters. However, Chris Hemsworth still can’t wait to revisit his role as Thor for the eighth time in the MCU. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Hemsworth shared his praise for the sequel’s script by writer and director, Taika Waititi.

“It’s one of the best scripts I’ve read in years,” said Hemsworth. “It’s Taika at his most extreme, and at his best. If the version I read is the one we get running with, it’s going to be pretty insane.”

Additionally, Hemsworth revealed that his kids have enjoyed having Thor’s original hammer, Mjolnir, in the house.

“This is the house where the hammers are,” admitted Hemsworth. “I’ve got two hammers here, actually. This is the original hammer from [Thor]. It’s got some weight to it. My kids, bit by bit, slowly consider themselves worthy as they get older and stronger and able to pick it up. It’s sort of the walk and talk [hammer]. The stunt one is foam and soft and hollow.”

Hemsworth also showed off his Stormbreaker prop at the end of the interview.

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on February 18, 2022.
