First Zack Snyder’s Justice League Teaser Features Darkseid
Fans asked for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and here it is. The director took up to Twitter to reveal the first teaser of the long-awaited director’s cut of Justice League. And to start on the right foot, the brief video features a glimpse at none other than Darkseid himself. The teaser opens with Gal Gadot’s Diana looking at what seems like a stylized image of the supervillain. Lex Luthor’s final dialogue from Batman v Superman reiterates that word of Superman’s death metaphorically rang a bell. Then we see him, in footage that once featured Steppenwolf in the theatrical cut.
The tyrannical ruler should already have made his debut in the DCEU back in 2016’s movie. Actor Ray Porter portrayed the former prince of the planet Apokolips on set, but Joss Whedon cut his scenes when he took over the film’s direction.

Zack Snyder and Chris Terrio’s original script for Justice League and its sequels involved Darkseid taking over Superman’s mind thanks to the Anti-Life Equation. But after Batman v Superman disappointed, Warner Bros. opted to promote Darkseid’s lieutenant Steppenwolf as the main villain for the movie.
In the meantime, Snyder is working on finishing the editing of the movie with a rumored budget of $20-$30 million.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will hit HBO Max in 2021.
