Now that Universal Pictures has come up with a safety plan to resume production on Jurassic World: Dominion, it seems that a new actor has joined the cast. According to Collider, Campbell Scott will portray Lewis Dodgson, a character whom Jurassic Park novels fans will remember as the head of research at Biosyn, a rival of InGen. In both Michael Crichton’s books, Dodgson was one of the main villains. According to the reports, Dodgson got a promotion before the events of Dominion, and he is now the CEO of Biosyn Genetics.
Actor Cameron Thor portrayed the character in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster, but the movie downplayed Dodgson’s role. He merely made a cameo, bribing Wayne Knight’s Dennis Nedry to steal the fertilized dinosaur embryos. Thor’s problems with the law forced Universal Pictures to recast the role.
Scott’s credits include portraying Richard Parker on the big screen in the Amazing Spider-Man movies.

Lewis Dodgson isn’t the only character from Jurassic Park to make his return in Dominion. Original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum will reprise their roles as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, respectively. And perhaps, all these returns are connected someway. Jurassic World: Dominion production is expected to reprise at Pinewood Studios in early July.
Jurassic World: Dominion opens in theaters on June 11, 2021.
