At DC FanDome, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson didn’t need a moderator to talk about Black Adam. Instead, Johnston led the discussion by himself, took questions from fans, and welcomed his co-star, Noah Centineo, to the panel. Johnston not only confirmed that Centineo will play Atom Smasher in the film, he also revealed that the Justice Society of America will be featured as well.
Johnson didn’t reveal who will play the JSA members. But he showed off a teaser clip that featured Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher.

Johnson led off the panel by narrating a video created in part by Jim Lee and BossLogic. It goes over Black Adam’s history as a slave, and how he was chosen to be the champion of the wizard Shazam. However, Black Adam fell from the wizard’s favor and was banished for thousands of years. Now, Black Adam is back, and he’s shifting the power dynamic of the DC Extended universe.
During the panel, Johnson acknowledged that he’s been trying to get the Black Adam movie to happen for over a decade. He also promised fans that his version of the character will remain true to Black Adam’s antihero persona.
