Elizabeth Olsen Says She’s Filming the Doctor Strange Sequel Next Month

Disney+’s WandaVision series may be two months away, but the MCU’s Scarlet Witch is almost ready for her next Marvel film. While speaking with Condé Nast Traveler, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she will soon be on the set of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

“I am moving back soon to film the sequel to Dr. Strange, so I’ll be there for Christmas, just outside London,” said Olsen. “Even given the current circumstances, it will be a nice trip.”

Olsen also told Condé Nast Traveler that she was at her happiest while living in London during the production of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“That’s where I lived when I worked for six months on my first Avengers film, and it was during the driest summer in history, or something, so it was spectacular.” added Olsen. “I did a really strange deep-dive into how an American could legally live in the UK and I saw that there’s a retirement visa once you reach 54. I feel as if British people work to live – they don’t live to work, unlike in LA and New York.”

Both WandaVision and Loki will tie into the new Doctor Strange sequel. However, it’s likely that the next Spider-Man movie also has a connection to this film, because Benedict Cumberbatch is reprising his role as Stephen Strange for that sequel as well.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Benedict Wong are also likely to reprise their respective roles as Mordo and Wong. Sam Raimi will direct the film, from a script by Loki head writer Michael Waldron.

WandaVision will arrive on Disney+ on January 15, 2021. After that, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on March 25, 2022.
