After yesterday’s blockbuster announcements, Disney and Marvel Studios are shuffling the release schedule. The first movie to move is Thor: Love and Thunder, which is abandoning its February 11, 2022 date in favor of a summer-season opening on May 6, 2022. However, that displaces Black Panther 2 from its release date. Consequently, the next Black Panther film is moving to July 8, 2022.
That move also unseated Captain Marvel 2 from its date, and it has been pushed to November 11, 2022. Disney also set Star Wars: Rogue Squadron for December 22, 2023

During the Disney Investor Day presentation, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige confirmed that the late Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa will not be recast. Letitia Wright’s Shuri became the next Black Panther in the comics, and could do so in the MCU as well.
Additionally, Christian Bale was announced as Gorr the God Butcher, the main villain in Thor: Love and Thunder. He will be menacing both Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Mighty Thor, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).
Finally, Feige shared the news that Captain Marvel 2 will feature Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers alongside Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani). Teyonah Parris will also appear as the older Monica Rambeau.
