The Batman Will Wrap in March, The Flash Shoots In April

This month marked a full year since The Batman started filming in the United Kingdom. The reboot’s cast and crew ran into a few hurdles along the way thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. But now it sounds like the production has finally reached the home stretch. According to Screen Daily, the highly-anticipated reboot is on track to wrap principal photography in March.

The Batman had only been filming for about two months when the ongoing health crisis forced most Hollywood productions to shut down last spring. Director Matt Reeves was only able to shoot 25% of the movie at that time. Regardless, he was still able to premiere a thrilling teaser trailer during August’s DC FanDome event. The movie was given the green light to resume production the following month. However, Warner Bros. once again paused the shoot after Robert Pattinson tested positive for COVID-19. Pattinson returned to work in mid-September.

After The Batman is finished, WB’s long-awaited Flash standalone feature is officially confirmed to start filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in April. Ezra Miller is reprising his role as Barry Allen from Justice League, with It helmer Andy Muschietti directing.

The Batman will hit theaters on March 4 2022. The Flash will follow on November 4, 2022.
