Zazie Beetz Comments on Domino’s Possible Return in Deadpool 3

Wade Wilson may be on his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the fate of his onscreen entourage remains up in the air. With Deadpool 3 officially in the works at Marvel Studios, one of the biggest questions on fans’ minds is which supporting characters from the first two films will make the jump to the MCU alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth. One possibility to Zazie Beetz’s Domino, who made her first appearance in Deadpool 2 in 2018. Before the Disney-Fox merger happened, Beetz’s character seemed like a shoe-in to return in a potential third installment. Unfortunately, she’s still waiting around for Kevin Feige’s phone call.

Collider recently caught up with Beetz to talk about her role in Amazon’s Invincible animated series. When asked about Deadpool 3, she confirmed that Marvel still hasn’t contacted her about the sequel.

“No, I haven’t [heard about Domino’s return],” said Beetz. “I would love to revive the role. That was always in the world of what was potentially going to happen. I haven’t had any specific conversations around it. But I’m interested. Not only would I love to revive the role, I would love to figure out a way to make a Domino movie or something like that. We’ll see what happens, but I haven’t had any personal conversations.”

Back in November, Marvel hired Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin to write the script for Deadpool 3. The studio still hasn’t offered a timeframe as to when the sequel might hit theaters. But since the character is so intertwined with the X-Men’s corner of the Marvel Universe, it seems likely that the film will be part of Marvel’s strategy to bring mutants into the MCU.
