The Monsters Faceoff In New Godzilla Vs. Kong TV Promo

Later this month, the King of the Monsters and the Eighth Wonder of the World will faceoff in in Godzilla vs. Kong. King Kong was noticeably absent during Godzilla: King of the Monsters, when Godzilla established his dominance over the other monsters. However, a new TV promo for the film may shed some light on where Kong has been.

At one point in the video below, Kong throws an object that reveals an artificial barrier that keeps him away from the outside world. Whether Skull Island is still his home remains unclear. Regardless, the clips do reveal that Kong has bonded with a young girl named Jia (Kaylee Hottle). But even that emotional connection won’t keep Kong from the battle of his life.

Godzilla vs. Kong is the culmination of two Godzilla movies and Kong: Skull Island. Here’s the description from Warner Bros. Pictures:

“Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash in a spectacular battle for the ages. As a squadron embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins and mankind’s survival, a conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the Earth forever.”

Warner Bros. will debut Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max and in theaters on March 31.
