Zack Snyder Is Auctioning BTS Justice League Character Portraits

The fans who helped make Zack Snyder’s Justice League a reality can now own a small piece of it. While finishing up additional photography on the film last October, Snyder captured a series of individual character portraits on his Leica Monochrome camera. And earlier this week, the director announced the auctioning of these photos for charity.

Fans can bid on 13 different black-and-white portraits from Snyder’s personal collection. The offerings include multiple behind-the-scenes shots of Ben Affleck as “Knightmare” Batman, Ray Fisher in his Cyborg mo-cap suit, Amber Heard as Mera, Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, and Jared Leto as Joker. According to the auction’s Charitybuzz page, only two copies of each photo exist. Additionally, all of the portraits sent out come signed (presumably by Snyder) and framed.

The auction’s proceeds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, which Snyder has been working with for over three years now. Snyder memorably left Justice League’s production in 2017 following the suicide of his daughter, Autumn. Since then, fans have raised over $250,000 for the organization in Autumn’s honor. Snyder dedicated his four-hour cut of the DC team-up film to his daughter’s memory.

Bidding on Snyder’s portraits will last until on April 22. So far, some of the photos are going for as high as $3,000. You can find the link to the Charitybuzz page here.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is now streaming on HBO Max.
